The concert started 16.00 so me and Alex left home around 14.30. We bought something small to eat at Family Mart and then it was perfect timing to go in. We stood up front at the second row through the whole show except from Scapegoat, who played last. It was so much fun, I tell you.
I don't remember the exact order they played, but Awake, Fi'Ance, Full Effect played first. Awake was okay... I guess. Way to positive for me though. I can't find their official site, I can't even find a picture of them haha. Try google awake and see how far that gets you. It sucks when they have names like that. Like D back when they were not that well known... nightmaare, it was. Okay, enough ramble.
I was so bothered with the fact that I remember the name Full Effect from somewhere but I couldn't figure it out, since I didn't recognize them at all. It didn't help that the vocalist had his mask on during the songs they played xD I should have known though, since I have seen that picture of them.. My memory sucks sometimes. Later I realized they also played at Depain's live with Unsraw some other bands I saw two years ago, also at AREA and that was why I recognized the name so much. hmmm. funny. They were pretty good though. ^^ Oooohh and the vocalist tried to teach everyone a new furi, but it failed... kind of. They were funny. When he saw no one really got it as they were playing the song he started laughing in the middle of everything. xD
Oh, and Fi'Ance........ came out without their vocalist. I could have heard wrong so don't use me as a source for anything, but I think they said he went to the hospital yesterday but it was nothing serious. I guess the guitarist was nervous from talking, maybe, but he was struggling.. and since I stood like a meter from him if even that I saw really clearly that his hands were shaking pretty bad.. but I dunno. It was just kinda weird. Their fans didn't really seem content, for some reason. Aaanyway, they were a three-man-band tonight. Their music was good though. ^^
After those three it was Anli Pollicino's turn. Since I didn't want to give up my awesome spot for Depain I was staying put on my very exposed second-row spot. It wasn't like it was crowded, not at all. It was very spacious. But still. Uuuh, I didn't like them at aaaall and I just did the furi out of compassion, since the vocalist wouldn't stop staring at me. I kinda liked his voice just a little bit, but.. No, really not my kind of music anywhere. Lucky we were on the side so we could kinda creep away from the front of the stage haha. He didn't stop looking at me though.
Virgenow played then and it was so sad. It's the first time I see them but I've been a fan of them for a long time and this was their last performance before going on a break. I don't remember what song they played first, but they played No Fate second. It was so sad.. When he sang those high notes in the first verse the girls in the first row started crying, then more and more people started as the song went on.
Then they played a upbeat song again.. but they still cried though. When that song was over and the band walked around on stage I noticed Zetu was also crying.. aaaah. You're not disbanding, silly. It's just a break.. (which we all know how they usually end, but let's ignore that.) and I don't remember if it was him of Shigeru who walked around and pet people on the head..
From sad things to awesome things.
Depain.
I just have threee wooords. Oh. My. God.
I've been looking forward to seeing them so much that I actually was kinda afraid that I was too excited.
I wasn't, it was more like the opposite. I had my perfect spot right in front of Takeru. I didn't mind. 8D
They are so good. They are awesome. They are sooo awesome. It's like a full-body-workout with Depain. Head banging in five different ways, jumping back and forward with the other's along the stage, head bang a bit more, jump some more and arms in the air or just punching the air.
When they played Wasuraruru Hanamuke my soul almost left my body in pure happiness. It was nice since the calm chorus gave me a chance to drool at Ryuka, in between the head banging and jumping around. He must have grown... or something. I don't remember that he was so tall, but then again I was not standing 40 cm from him back then either. He's one of the rare cases where he is much bigger than he looks. Usually it's the other way around.
They played five or six songs.... I don't remember. I didn't want it to end, so everytime a new song started without him saying it was the last one I went YAAAY. and jumped around some more. It wasn't like I was more energetic than anyone else, I just felt like my heart would explode of happiness every second. 8D
After they played the last song Takeru halfway sat down in front of us and we had our arms up, so he half slapped/half petted them with the one girl in front of me first, then me.. but he had his hand right next to mine after he hit me and looked at me like he wanted something. I went like whaaaatXD <- me. I didn't get it, and he just kept looking at me like.. ô.Ô kinda like that. So, I slap/hit his hand back and his face went like this (≧▽≦)!!!! and he went moving on to the others, but just touched them really quickly and then moved on, ahahaha. What the hell was that about..
Anyway, it was just awesome in every way possible.
After Depain we moved up to the third "landing", but it's only like two steps on the stair so I don't know what to call the different floor-thingies. Mostly because we were exhausted and it was hooot. x3 I haven't ever liked scapegoat... but they were really good live! What's up with that?! Same thing with Lycaon, even I can't stand their newer songs on cd they were really good live. Wootwoot. Whatever, Scapegoat were good. ^^ I would never in my life recognize the vocalist though, because he looks nooo way near the way he looks on pictures. He had brown hair now and different cut and everything, but still. wow.
They had an encore, and me and Alex just got more and more tired haha. Even though we didn't even do anything at all. xD uihuihi. So, when they walked off stage once again and they STILL didn't close the curtains everyone got really confused and some girls started chanting hesitantly for a second encore. After barely five seconds Ryuka walks out and there was a collective "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeehhh" hahaha. That was unexpected!! The whole band walked out then and I quickly ran back and to my surprise my spot was there waiting for me. The girls around us hadn't moved, so our space was still left.
Depain entered, which I think was a surprise for everyone.. and then Ryuka called in Scapegoat as well. They talked a bit about their tour and where they had been and how much fun they have had. Theeeeen! Then they played one more song. A depain song, which I don't remember the name of. TAT
On stage it was like a play-mass-hugging-and-climbing-on-each-other festival, haha. They repeated one part of the song so many times, the part where the people on the first row bend forward and the ones behind run, turn around and jump into them back-to-back and then run back again. Over and over again. It's kinda hard to explain.. haha. Anyway, as we were jumping up at the other's the members pulled our arms a bit so we got higher up. Takeru kept dragging mine, then they changed positions a few times among the members. At one point Ryuka suddenly appeared and he pulled me up when I was jumping a few times. aarrghhblu. I didn't mind. At all.
I kind of minded when he poured a third of his water bottle out over us just a while later, because a huge drop landed RIGHT where my hair get curly easiest. Thanks. Hahah, no I'm just kidding. It was hilarious, how big is the chance.
I haven't had this much fun in a loooooong time. aauuguww.
Now I'll sleep. Toooo laaaaate. AArrghhh.
